Remedial Massage involves the practice of assessing and manipulating the soft tissue of the body such as muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. The pressure applied may range from gentle to firm with the main aim being to encourage softening and tension release of the targeted tissue.

Myotherapy is an advanced form of remedial massage, that helps treat and manage pain with particular focus on releasing trigger points located in muscles and surrounding connective tissue called fascia. Treatments to reduce discomfort are a combination of:

·trigger point release
·massage
·a variety of other techniques
